Messages From Doe Camp!

"I think Jay was a great location.  I love the getaway, the time outdoors, the connection with other women, the things I've learned, and the way my husband looks at me when I return home and regale him with tales of fly tying, game dinners, shooting prowess, and all the other great stuff I take away from Doe Camp.  And for those of us who have devoted much of our lives to raising families, it's damned great to wander to the mess hall for a meal for great food that we didn't have to prepare or clean up after.  Heck, I even love the long drive in solitude, leaving work and life's responsibilities behind, 'til I'm free and clear by the time I hit Jay.   All in all, we love Doe Camp.

Thanks for all you and your staff do to make this happen for all the rest of us.  I can't wait to be flopped on a couch in front of a fire, talking with fellow doe campers, remembered and new.  If I had the time and money, I'd do Abnaki as well!  Hopefully I'll be bringing my 4 daughters some day."

"Doe Camp was so much fun! Enjoyed meeting all of the ‘staff’,’ too! I'm so glad I attended and I've told everyone I've met about the great experience I had and urging them to come next year. I'm going to bring a humungous bunch - you wait and see!!"

"I just wanted to drop you both a line to thank YOU for making Doe Camp so totally awesome.  This was my 4th Doe Camp and all I can say is that it gets better and better every year.  I really appreciated the fact that when I changed my mind about river kayaking on Friday you were totally cool about getting me into the cooking class (my thanks to Bradley too).  Whenever I head out to Doe Camp I always know I'll have a great time and that I don't necessarily have to stick with a schedule (I hate rigid schedules!)."

"Doe Camp was great only because of all the work you and your staff and those great and dedicated instructors put into it.  It is invaluable to me to be able to try these activities in a relaxed atmosphere with fun people and without having to buy expensive equipment for the maiden voyage -- otherwise it would not be fun."

"I can't stop thinking about last weekend and wish it was already time for the next Doe Camp.  I met so many nice people and learned such fun and interesting things.  Although I won't be able to make it this fall, I'm planning to be at camp next spring.  I told my sister who couldn't make it last weekend that I think this is going to be an annual event for us!"
